Book Donation by the U.S. Embassy to the Islamic Cultural Center

On Monday, December 19, 2005, Stephen Schwartz, Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy, donated 115 books to the Islamic Cultural Center (ICC).  Mr. Schwartz presented the books on behalf of the U.S. Government and the American people to the Director of the ICC, Mr. Mohamadally Mownah.

The books donated for the ICC’s library cover a wide range of topics such as economics, management, international relations, Islam in America, law, and the arts. 

The book donation ceremony was attended by members of the board of the ICC, representatives from Islamic NGOs, and the Director of the National Library, Yves Chan Kam Lon. 

In their remarks, both Mr. Mownah and the Chargé d'Affaires expressed the wish to continue fostering the already excellent relationship between the ICC and the U.S. Embassy.
