Diversity Immigrant Visa Program

The US Government is pleased to announce that the 2006 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program (DV-2006) registration will run from noon EST on November 5, 2004 until noon EST January 7, 2005.

The DV-2006 lottery will for the second year be conducted entirely by electronic means.  Paper entries are no longer accepted.  The Department of State has established a dedicated website for the submission of Diversity Visa entries, http://www.dvlottery.state.gov, while instructions for the program may be found on http://travel.state.gov. 
 
Successfully registered entries will result in the display of a confirmation screen containing the applicant's name, date of birth, country of chargeability, and a date/time stamp, which can then be printed.
 
Hard copy of the instructions for the 2006 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program may also be collected at the US Embassy, 4th Floor, Rogers House, Port Louis, between 8:00 a.m. and 15:30 p.m. during week days from November 9.
