USS REUBEN JAMES Visits Port Louis

June 29, 2006

The USS Reuben James (FFG 57) arrived in Mauritius on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 for a scheduled port visit. 

The port visit gives nearly 230 sailors the opportunity to experience the culture, sightseeing and hospitality of Mauritius.

The Oliver Hazard Perry-Class Guided-Missile Frigate USS Reuben James is commanded by Commander Logan Jones and is homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
 
Operating in the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans, the U.S. Seventh Fleet is the largest of the forward-deployed U.S. fleets, with approximately 50 ships, 120 aircraft and 20,000 sailors and marines assigned at any given time.  For more information, visit the U.S. seventh fleet website at www.c7f.navy.mil.
